The AI Innovator Spotlight session, part of the Innovation Radar Bridge project, featured as a special episode of the EU-Startups Podcast, unveils a selection of promising AI startups that are partly backed/funded by EU initiatives. In this special edition of the EU-Startups Podcast six startups are presenting their innovative technologies and receive feedback from four venture capital investors.

Innovations shaping the future

From enhancing patient safety to transforming TV production, the AI Innovator Spotlight session highlighted a range of groundbreaking technologies:

• Antonio Del Corral, CEO of Cinfo, redefines TV production with advanced cloud-based systems. Their technology, featuring robotised cameras and AI-driven tracking, revolutionises the creation of high-quality TV events.
• Frédéric Dayan, Founder of ExactCure, addresses a critical issue in healthcare by tackling medication errors, which cause five times more deaths than car accidents. Their platform aims to significantly improve patient safety by minimising these errors.
• Kaido Saar, CEO & Co-Founder of Mifundo, innovates in credit scoring by aggregating credit bureau data across Europe and integrating it with open banking. This approach not only reduces credit risk for foreign customers but also boosts business opportunities.
• Christoph Neumaier, CEO of PERIAN, streamlines access to GPU resources across any cloud. Their platform optimises GPU availability and simplifies cloud usage through automation, making powerful computing more accessible.
• Meeri Haataja, CEO of Saidot, leads with their AI Governance platform, which helps businesses integrate AI responsibly and transparently, addressing key challenges in ethical AI deployment.
• Søren Kleberg, CEO of SelfBack, offers a digital health solution for managing low back pain. Supported by clinical evidence, SelfBack stands out for its effectiveness and cost-efficiency, providing real solutions backed by rigorous research.

VC Jury & Insights

The session also featured four esteemed venture capitalists: Anna Bosch from b2ventures, Angelo Burgarello from LookAI Ventures, John Clark from P2, and Guy de Nicolay from Ventures.eu. Their feedback led to valuable insights and to a better understanding of the business models and markets that were discussed.
